Hastelloy Alloy B-2 is a solid solution strengthened nickel molybdenum alloy that shows significant resistance to reducing environments. Examples are hydrogen chloride gas and sulfuric, acetic and phosphoric acids. Also has excellent resistance to pitting and stress corrosion cracking but has poor corrosion resistance to oxidizing environments.
Hastelloy B-2 should not be exposed to temperatures in the 1000 - 1600°F range

Applications:
Chemical environments, Hydrochloric acid, chloride catalysts and other strong reducing chemicals, vacuum furnaces, resists corrosion from antimony chloride.
