52100 Alloy Steel

AISI 52100 is an alloy steel is a high carbon, chromium containing low alloy steel. 52100 can be machined using normal techniques. Machinability of 52100 in the annealed condition is good to machine by conventional methods, yet is has a very high hardness and abrasion resistance that can be developed by heat treatment to make the material suitable for extreme wear resistance applications.

E52100 is heat treatable.

52100 not omly comes in bar but also in tubing.
