Grade 4130 Alloy Steel is a low alloy steel that contains molybdenum and chromium as its strengthening agents. The low carbon content of generally .30% is excellent for weldability. 4130 is able to be hardened by heat treatment. This allows it to reach a range of toughness. Features include good hardenability, strength, wear resistance, toughness and ductility.
