D-2 Drill Rod Tool Steel is an air-hardening steel that is known for its maximum wear resistance abilities. That and its high compressive strength make it perfect for long production runs. It is also an outstanding choice when high production and/or close tolerances are needed on finished parts. It is ideally used for tools and dies.

Standard bar lengths are 3 foot long but can be supplied in 12 foot long as well.

This material is stocked in the annealed condition and ground and polished in tight tolerances.
